DESCRIPTION: APW - Howard Keystone, unmarked Series 0 23J with original boxes, 16S, 14K OF original case with Howard signature ring and 1910 inscription on gold cuvette, initial on case back, Jurgensen case lips, SW-LS, WE-DSD with marginal minutes in radial orientation, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, 23J, striped NI damascene, s#1078744 on mvt and s#116620 on case correctly matching to both inner and outer boxes. Gross weight of assembled watch 62.2 dwt (96.7 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent mvt condition overall, FS to barrel bridge and balance cock at their adjacent corners, some oxide to regulator spring and one center bridge screw; dial near perfect with small edge flake at setting-lever area; near mint hands; case shows very little wear, typical MFS, no dents or dings; tight bow, larger sized replacement crown with a color difference and shows light wear; good glass crystal; inner box in good condition except for a surface crack of about 1.25 inch length to its underside; outer box with handling and wear but remains intact and legible, underside of outer box has a handwritten date of Jan 14, 10 as well as 17-18-19 numerals of unclear meaning.
